The good news is we have not had any burglaries since 10.23.12 in the neighborhoods behind Sunoco on Smoky Row Rd. which have been getting hit rather consistently. Hopefully that means that the since the suspect (who is one of the suspects in all of the burglaries) was arrested he seems to have gotten the picture that we are watching for him and his kind and are not going to take their behavior in our neighborhood! THANK YOU TO EVERYONE WHO HAS BEEN KEEPING THEIR EYES AND EARS OPEN AND TO ALL OF THOSE WHO ARE HELPING TO SPREAD THE WORD!!!!!
The not so great news is that their are still crimes happening too close to home for comfort! I wanted to share the details of one incident in particular because these people were caught trying to burglarize someone with the same M.O. that our thieves were using... one person knocks or rings the doorbell to see if anyone is home and the other person waits in the get away car! If no one answers they proceed to bust your door down and start helping themselves to whatever they would like. The getaway car was a black Pontiac with Ohio tag JACKI2. For more information on the suspects (names, addresses and ages are listed on the report of the arrestees) click here. Once you click on the "I Understand" button in the bottom left corner search for Report # 120929383. This incident happened on Leighlinbridge Way which is behind the CVS at Hard Rd. and Sawmill Rd. There have been quite a few burglaries and car break-ins in that vicinity... just something to keep an eye out for!
Thanks for staying involved and have a great day!!!
